PROFILE
Ricardo Arosemena, born in Panama City,
Panama, completed  his undergraduate studies
at the University of Notre Dame's School of
Architecture. During this time, he studied  in
Rome, Italy and continued with urban studies in
Greece. He received a Bachelor of Architecture in
1998. His professional career  began the same
year in the office of Eric J. Smith Architects in
New York City, where he was involved in the
design of large-scale custom homes.                      
     From 1999 to 2003, he worked as a Design
Associate for the office of Cambefort & Boza
Arquitectos in Panama City. He designed and
supervised projects of residential, commercial,
institutional, and  cultural content. In 2003, 2004,
and 2006 he received Design Awards for
residential as well as commercial projects, by
the Panamanian Society of Architects and
Engineers, S.P.I.A.  
In 2005, he received a Master in Architectural
Design and Urbanism from the University of
Notre Dame's School of Architecture, and was a
recipient of  the 2005 Ferguson & Shamamian
Architects Graduate Prize for 'excellence in
classical design exhibited in a graduate thesis'.
He was invited to join the faculty of  the University
of Notre Dame's Rome Studies Program for the
2005-2006 academic year.
Marie Andree Soundy, born in Guatemala City,
Guatemala,  completed  her undergraduate
studies at the University of Notre Dame's School
of Architecture. During this time, she studied  in
Rome, Italy and continued with urban studies in
Greece. She received a Bachelor of Architecture
in 1998. That same year, she began her
professional career in the office of Robert A. M.
Stern Architects in New York City, as part of both
the Architecture and Landscape Design
departments.
In 1999  she worked in the office of Seis
Arquitectos in Guatemala City, Guatemala, as
designer and project manager of a variety of large-
scale projects and competitions. She first
established her private practice with the design of
multiple free-lance residential and landscape
projects in Guatemala City and Antigua,
Guatemala.
In 2005, she received a Master in Architectural
Design and Urbanism from the University of
Notre Dame's School of Architecture, and was a
recipient of  the 2005 Ferguson & Shamamian

She was invited to join the faculty of the University

Ricardo Arosemena and Marie Andree Soundy began their collaboration in 2001, and have since
designed multiple projects in Guatemala, Panama and the United States. In 2006 they opened their
current office in Panama City, Panama.
